Building at Jaarbeurs Utrecht
Jaarbeurs applies a maximum build height of 5 meters, where the stand location allows. Walls bordering a neighboring stand must be at least 2.50 meters high. Anything above 2.50 meters must have a neutral-colored back, with no logo or advertising facing the neighbors. For some shows an exemption is possible, applied for in writing and in advance through the organizer.
Jaarbeurs has stricter construction rules than you may be used to. A stand must be self-supporting: a structure suspended from rigging is not permitted. Ceilings are not allowed, except for correctly installed sprinkler-permeable fabric. All materials used must be fire-retardant, at least fire class B1, with a certificate.
You submit your stand design for review via MyJaarbeurs. This must include a scale technical drawing, structural calculations, material specifications and a risk assessment. A double-deck stand also requires notification to the Municipality of Utrecht and review by the Utrecht Safety Region fire service.
We know these rules and build them into the design from the start, so you won’t find out halfway through that something isn’t allowed. We submit the review application and any exemption request on your behalf.
Build-up and dismantling
Build-up and dismantling times vary per show and are listed in the organizer’s exhibitor manual. What is fixed: if you want to suspend anything, the rigging plan must be approved at least six weeks before the show. Only certified riggers appointed by Jaarbeurs may carry out rigging. Rigging is not possible in halls 2, 5, 9 and 10.
Loading and unloading take place outside the halls, at the designated transport doors. Forklifts on site are operated by Jaarbeurs’ logistics partner. Waste is disposed of through Jaarbeurs’ contracted waste partner.
In addition, each organizer sets its own deadlines for ordering electricity, water and internet. We monitor those deadlines and prepare the orders for you.
Always stand out, wherever you exhibit, with a stand by Eldee.

What we take care of at Jaarbeurs Utrecht
We design your stand, engineer it, build it in our own workshop in Tricht and deliver it to Utrecht with our own transport. Our own team handles build-up and dismantling. We submit the stand design with drawings, calculations and risk assessment via MyJaarbeurs on your behalf, as well as any exemption request and the rigging plan. For a double-deck stand, we also handle the notification to the municipality and the fire service. We prepare your orders for electricity, water, internet and rigging. You have one project manager, from first sketch to final truck.

No. Ceilings are not allowed at Jaarbeurs, except for correctly installed sprinkler-permeable fabric. Using lighting, walls and suspended elements at permitted heights, we still create an enclosed atmosphere.
Yes, with prior approval. In addition to Jaarbeurs, the Municipality of Utrecht and the fire service also review the design, including the structural calculations. If the upper deck exceeds 50 m², a second staircase is mandatory. We regularly build double-deck stands and handle the entire application.
Only certified riggers appointed by Jaarbeurs may suspend elements. The rigging plan must be approved at least six weeks before the show, and rigging is not possible in halls 2, 5, 9 and 10. We prepare the rigging plan and submit it for you.
A 20 m² modular stand starts at around €10,000. Custom stands start at around €400 per square meter. Stand space, electricity, water and internet are rented from Jaarbeurs or the organizer; these costs are separate from the stand build. We prepare those orders for you and keep track of the deadlines.
Our workshop in Tricht is about 35 minutes from Jaarbeurs. We make replacement parts and deliver them the same day. Your project manager is available throughout build-up and the show.
